The staff of Ground Water Practitioners has grown to 33 employees and will soon invite a black partner on board to become a black empowerment company. Our experience has taught us the disciplines of the industry.

Pitfalls need to be alleviated to save the client time, production loss, damage to equipment and loads of money.

Ground Water Practitioners have many 'firsts' on the African continent...

  • Installing pumps to a depth of 500 meters
  • Hydraulic fracing of wells
  • Methane wells & exploration
  • Underground water monitoring

What services do we provide and what can we do for our customers?

Have we got the equipment to do the job?
In excess of R5,000,000 worth of equipment comprising, electronic equipment, down-hole camera equipment, work-over rigs, test rigs, frac rig, generators, welders, vehicles, trailers, cement pumps, high pressure triplex pumps, packers, centrifugal pumps, test pumps, and miscellaneous plant and tools are available to carry out most work on the African continent.

Will our customers have peace of mind when we execute a task?
From small holding owners to farmers, from consultants to mine engineers, from wellfields to municipalities and any water reticulation projects we have the experience with a record of safety, satisfied clientele and protecting the environment.

Is a job too small or too big for us?
We will do any job anywhere, big or small. We have worked throughout Southern Africa including islands off the Tanzania coast.

Why are we working on various mines?
Our continues training program and high safety standards make us favoured to execute work on mine premises. We calculate our risks and provide any mine with proper risk assessments. We are welcomed by mine engineers due to our attitude towards costs, maintenance, and downtime. We assist such engineers with pump choices, pipeline planning to discharge high volumes of water, verticality testing once the drilling is complete. A down-hole camera inspection can also be done to see if the casing is properly bedded and if perforations are correctly placed.

Can we rehabilitate old boreholes and clean them?
We have extensive experience in performing this task. Any unwanted debris is air-lifted out of the well. New casing can be installed if required or certain horizons can be sealed off to produce water of better quality.

Who can afford us?
Our quotation structure is developed to make us affordable for any individual, company, farmer or mine group. Equipment in stock is part of our operation.

  • Pumps, spares and fittings for effecient service
  • Workshops for any repairs on pumps, motors, pipes and discharge heads.
  • Testing bay to check pump performances and specified curves
