BOREHOLE (WATER WELL) DRILLING

Advice on registering a borehole.

If you would like to receive a copy of the 'Layman’s Guide to Borehole Ownership', please contact us.

It is essential to know the following about any borehole or water well
• The depth of the borehole
• The static water level of the area
• The dynamic pumping level
• The yield of the borehole

Trouble shooting
Water delivery, equipment failure, blocked perforations, casing failure, poor quality and sandy water are the most common reasons for concern. Many processes can be performed to rehabilitate an old bore hole.
Fishing for lost equipment
• Cleaning and airlifting of debris
• New casing and specific zone blocking
• Before and after rehabilitation – yield capacity test

It is important to remember that it would be more cost effective if an old well can be rehabilitated instead of having a new hole drilled.
